Penelope was the wife of Ulysses, both of them invented by Homer who lived a very long time ago. The writer Penelope is also a creation. She doesn't want to be known by any other name. She has no body or identity. She writes in English, because today that's the language of the internet, but her natural tongue may well be Swahili and for all we know she might be a man.
When Ulysses stayed away too long, other men tried to seduce his spouse. By weaving by day and pulling out the threads by night she kept herself occupied and protected at the same time. Today Penelope spins her yarns and regroups words into new tales. Writing is the only life she has ever known. She is only a soul expressing itself in words.
So, what am I able to tell you about the writer? That there isn't any? It certainly isn't me. I've never met the person responsible for the words in these pages, but I love the idea of being really anonymous and only giving your audience what you've decided to dole out beforehand. Some people just want to be read.
Written by a real person of sound body and mind with the same wish as Penelope to remain in obscurity forever and not because he or she has done anything not in accordance with the law,
Nobody,
